The temperatures are falling, which means fall is soon upon us—and pretty soon, you may begin to see luscious blackberries popping up everywhere. Not only are blackberries tasty, but they are a highly nutrient-dense fruit. In fact, they are considered the most nutritious fruit on the planet! They are filled with polyphenols, which helps to prevent several types of cancers and heart disease, their antioxidants help with memory loss and prevents hypertension, and they can even help with stomach disorders and are high in Vitamins A, E, K, and C. Toss blackberries into a salad, and you’ve got a delicious and highly nutritious lunch!
While they are extremely delicious when eaten right off the vine (after rinsing them of course), sometimes it’s fun to take it up a notch and find ways to preserve these blackberries in different recipes so you can either enjoy them year round, or in a different way.
