How to Clean a Cosori Air Fryer Including Heating Element – Easy Guide with over 40 Pictures
In this article we bring you a complete guide with tips and tricks on how to clean a Cosori air fryer. An air fryer is now a common kitchen appliance found in many homes, used for cooking foods like fried chicken, french fries and warming food.

Cosori air fryers are one of the very few air fryer brands that conserve energy while cooking. Such that it cooks the food by circulating hot air as quickly as possible.
For an air fryer to create a crucnhy and crispy exterior it uses hot air circulation around the food. All this great cooking with circulating hot air can make the air fryer very dirty and greasy.

How to Clean a Cosori Air Fryer โ Step by Step
Tools Needed
Step 1
If you have just finished using your Cosori air fryer wait for it to cool down before starting to clean it to avoid any burns.
Once it has cooled down first unplug the air fryer from the wall outlet.
Remove the basket from the Air Fryer. If there is a good amount of food or grese in the bottom tray (like in the picture below) you can use a paper towel to remove it.

Step 2
Separte the Air Fryer basket from the bottom tray (Pictured below). This way it is easier to clean each separate tray.

Step 3
We are going to start cleaning the bottom tray. As you can see from the picture below, our bottom tray has some crums.

So we frist are going to rinse it with water (pictured below) to remove all crums.

We add some dish soap into a damp soft cloth (pictured below).

We gently scrub the inside of the bottom tray with the soft cloth (Pictured below).

We rinse the bottom tray with frsh water to remove the soap.

We use a cloth to dry the bottom tray (pictured below).

In the pciture below is the recently cleaned bottom tray, looking like new.

Step 4
Rinse te Basket tray with water (pcitured below).

With the same damp cloth with dish soap used for the bottom tray you can clean the basket (pictured below).

Rinse off the soap left with water like in the picture below.

Dry the basket with a clean dry cloth.

Now put back the basket over the bottom tray.

In the pciture below is the bottom tray with the basket, both already cleaned.

Step 5
Clean the external parts of your Cosori Air Fryer with a damp cloth.

Step 6
For easier cleaning of the inside of your Cosori Air Fryer you can place it on its side (Picture below).

You can use a dry paper towel to clean the inside and remove any grease or small food particles that are left form previous cooking.

It is normal for the paper towel to look like the following picture after you clean the internal walls of your air fryer.

Step 7
To do a deeper clean of the interior of the Cosori Air Fryer we are going to use a mixture of water with baking soda. Baking soda is really good at removing oil stains.

With a soft sponge add the baking soda mix and gently scrub the inside the of the air fryer.

In the picture below you can see our Cosori Air fryer was really dirty.

Step 8
To clean the heating element area will going to use a diferent mix. This time add some lemon juice to the water (Pictured below).

Then add some baking soda to the lemon and water mix we did in the previous step.

To have better access to the heating element you can turn the Cosori Air Fryer upside down (pcitured below).

In the following picture you can see how dirty the area around the heating element is in our Cosori air fryer.

Use a small brush like the one in the following picture. We got this small brush from a painting kit that had all sizes of brushes, this being the smallest they included in the kit.

With the small brush, gently clean the surrounding area of the heating element. For now, try not to touch the heating element with the small brush.

Get a soft bristle tooth brush like the one in the following picture.

Clean around the heating element with the soft birslte tooth bursh to loosen any grease, oil and/or food particles.

With a soft cloth go ahead and scrub the sides and surrounding area of the heating element. We are still not cleaning directly the heating element.

Now get a soft sponge like the one in the following picture.

Gently clean the heating element wiht the soft sponge.

Just clean in one direction, the heating element is delicate.

Use a paper towel to clean and dry the area surrounding the heating element.

In the following picture you can see the heating element area completely clean.

Step 9
Turn the Cosori air fryer to its standing position so that we can clean the bottom part. In the following picture you can see it is a little dirty.

With a soft sponge gently scrub to remove any oils and grease.

With a paper towel scrub the bottom to dry and clean any baking soda mix left over.

Tips and Tricks
- Donโt use metal utensils or abrasive sponges to clean any part of your air fryer that have non-stick coating. This will remove the non-stcik coating and you risk consuming this in your next cookings.
- Donโt sumerge the whole air fryer in water because some parts have electrical components that can be ruined.
- Wait for the air fryer to completely cool down befor you start cleaning it.

How Often Should You Clean Your Cosori Air Fryer?
It is highly recommended to clean your air fryer, especially the basket, after every use. This will avoid grease to really stick to the interior of your air fryer making it very difficult to clean next time you try.
The amount of effort to clean will depend in what you air cook. Foods that have skin like chicken are harder to clean.
Is my Cosori Air Fryer dishwasher safe?
The air fryer basket and pan of Cosori air fryers is dishwasher safe. We donโt recommend using the dishwasher to clean your air fryer because the high temperatures often used in the cleaning process might damage the plastic parts of the pan.
