How to Clean a Gourmia Air Fryer – Step by Step
Tools Needed
The following tools are needed to complete the cleaning process:
- Dish Soap
- Small brush with soft bristles
- Paper Towel
- Non Abrasive Sponge
Step 1
If you have just finished using your Gourmia air fryer, first turn it off and wait for it to cool down.
Unplug your machine from the wall outlet (pictured below). This is for security reasons, to avoid getting electrocuted while touching electrical components with water while cleaning.
Step 2
Extract the air fryer basket. In the following picture you can see our Gourmia air fryer basket and crisper plate. As you can see it has many food residue and grease build-up.
We start by adding some hot water and dish soap in the kitchen sink. Hot water with dish soap helps loosen stuck food and grease. It is very important not to use any harsh chemicals to clean the air fryer basket and crisper plate. They have non-stick coating and this chemicals can remove the coating.
Step 3
With a brush with soft bristles like the one in the picture below, you can start scrubbing the crisper plate and basket. This will loosen tougher grease.
Remove the crisper plate from the air fryer basket. Rinse it in the kitchen sink while scrubbing with the brush. (picture below)
Step 4
Remove the 4 rubber feet that the crisper plate has (pitured below). This are needed to separate the crisper plate from the bottom of the air fryer basket so don’t loose them.
We need to remove the 4 rubber feet from the crisper plate because food residue tends to lodge there. In the picture below you can see some food particles stuck when we removed a rubber foot.
Step 5
With a non abrasive sponge (pictured below) start scrubbing the air fryer basket. This will help loosen really stuck food particles and grease. Never use metalic sponges because they can remove the non-stick coating from the air fryer basket and crisper plate.
Use the non abrasive sponge to scrub the crisper plate (pcitured below). This will loosen any food stuck and grease from the crisper plate.
Rinse both the air fryer basket and crisper plate in the kitchen sink. Now you should see both very clean. If you still see some grease or food residue stuck, do some more scrubbing with the non abrasive sponge.
Step 6
Flip your Gourmia air fryer upside down (picture below) so we have better access to the heating element area.
In the following picture you can see how dirty our air fryer is in the heating element area.
Grab the non abrasive sponge and scrub gently around and directly on the heating element. Be very careful when you clean the heating element as it is very delicate.
Use a paper towel (pciture below) to dry and clean the heating element area.
Step 7
Use a paper towel to clean all the exterior panels of your Gourmia air fryer. (picture below)

Now the last step is to reassemble the air fryer.

- Always unplug your air fryer prior ot do any cleaning. The air fryer has electrical components and can be damaged with water and you cna get electrocuted.
- Never use harsh chemicals like bleach to clean the Gourmia air fryer basket and crisper plate. This harsh chemicals can remove the non-stick coating and making your air fryer useless.
