How to Clean an Omega Juicer – Step by Step
In our case, a friend of ours gave us his Omega MM900HDS Juicer so we take it for a spin. We used it to juice some celery and are basing this cleaning guide on this model.
To clean an Omega juicer, you will need the following tools:
- Cleaning brush: Most Omega juicers come with a cleaning brush that is specially designed to reach into the crevices and corners of the juicer.
- Warm water: You will need warm water to rinse the juicer after cleaning.
- Microfiber cloth or towel: Use a microfiber cloth or towel to wipe down the juicer after cleaning.
Cleaning an Omega MM900HDS juicer is similar to cleaning other Omega juicers, but there are a few specific steps to follow. Here’s how to clean an Omega MM900HDS juicer:
Disassemble the Omega Juicer
We take apart the end cap, the feeding chute, the auger and the juicing screen.
Clean the Auger
Clean the auger under running water. If there is food stuck you can use the include brush to push the food and rinse thoroughly.
Clean the Feeding Chute
Rinse the feeding chute thoroughly. If food is still stuck after rinsing use the included brush to scrub and remove. Rinse again.
Clean the End Cap
Rinse the end cap thoroughly. Also rinse the rubber that goes with the end cap. Be careful not to loose the rubber as it is small.
Clean the Juicing Screen
The juicing screen is the part that takes more time to clean. Grab the include brush and gently scrub the metal screen. This will loosen the food in the tiny holes. Once you have scrubbed the metall screen and the plastic parts go ahead and rinse thoroughly.
Clean the Pusher
Rinse the pusher thoroughly. Let it air dry.
Clean the Juice and Pulp Containers
Discard the residue in the pulp container and rinse it. Rinse the juice container.Let both containers air dry upside down.
Clean the Motor Base
With a damp cloth wipe all around the motor base to remove any dust or splatter it may have. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid.
Assemble the Juicer
Once all parts are clean and dry you can go ahead an reassemble the Juicer.
This complete the cleaning proces of the Omega Juicer. As you can see it is very simple and you can do it in less than 10 minutes.
